Having completed three years at university and a 15 month industry placement, I have developed strong CAD skills, specifically using SolidWorks. During my degree I modelled multiple parts which include: an aerospace landing mechanism, a turboprop propeller with gears and casing, and a Cessna 172 wing with various wing tip designs. Whilst on my 15 month industry placement, working for a precision engineering company, I would use SolidWorks on a daily basis in order to create a 3D model from an engineering drawing. Modifications would often be needed to the model in order for the part to be machinable on the CNC machines.

For my masters project which was based on ‘Co-deposition of nickel-SiC using Pulse reverse plating techniques to produce nano composites’. I work in close liaison with architects, developers, marketing agencies and design consultants to produce architectural CGI which is used primarily to communicate design concepts to clients. Working on projects throughout the UK, I provide still imagery, VR and animations to facilitate the marketing and planning requirements of projects, as well as being used as a means of securing project funding and sponsorship. I have over 25 years experience working in a design environment, working with AutoCAD since 1989 & in the mid 1990's I worked as a beta tester for Autodesk and in 1998 had 3D work published in CADdesk magazine. I get most of my work through recommendations, as I put a high value on the quality of work and the ability to hit agreed deadlines.
